Senegalese artist, Aida Samb arrives

Aida Samb, the sprouting Mbalax musician from neighbouring Senegal has yesterday arrived in the country as a special guest artist for the much watched television show’s, (the Fatu Show) 4th year anniversary, event dubbed Goudi FatuShow to be held at the Jaama Hall, Kairaba Beach Hotel in Senegambia, this Saturday September 8th 2012.


Speaking to What’s On at the Sea View Gardens Hotel where the Senegalese musician is installed, Aida Samb expressed delight to be in the country and to witness the Fatu Show’s 4th year anniversary. She further revealed that this is her first time to be in The Gambia as a special guest artist, despites she had been to the country. Aida noted that The Gambia and Senegal are one and further disclosed that she is in the country with her 15-member band and as well TFM’s ‘Café Avec’ crew.


Born in Mbacke, Senegal, the 25-year-old musician who started music at her early age of nine disclosed that she will also work with some Gambian artistes in the country during her stay. On her final note, she thanked Fatou Camara for having her here in the country and praying for the stability, peace and love for the country.
