Monday, July 13, 2009
The visiting Senegal premier league club, Jeane D'arc, have announced their interest in three  players from The Gambia first division league side Wallidan FC, Foroyaa online reports.

The trio are midfield maestro George Cole, Muhammed Sugufara and another player who was only identified as 'Sir'. All the three targeted players played in Jeanne D'arc's warm-up match against The Gambia U-17 team on Wednesday at the Independent Stadium, with skilful player George Cole featuring prominently in the midfield of the Senegalese club that are believed to have links with the Banjul-based Wallidan.

Speaking to Foroyaa Sports shortly after the game with the Gambian youth team, Musa Ndao, coach of Jeanne D'arc confirmed their keen interest in the Wallidan trio. "Our purpose of coming to The Gambia is to rediscover our form and to possibly snap up some players to strengthen our squad.

We are planning possibly for George Cole and others to come with us and join us for the pre-season in Senegal," he said. According to Ndao, playing in the Senegalese league will open more opportunities for the players whose main dream is to play in professional leagues across Europe.
