Unimpeachable sources have revealed to the Daily Observer that a Senegalese Engineer, Amadou Keita, working with Castle Fuel Company, last Sunday morning, around 7:40 am, drowned at sea in Banjul.

The incident, according to report, occurred as the victim attempted to board one vessel (Jamal Masry) from another one (Toufik Masry), at sea, with few other people. Sources told the Daily Observer that personnel from The Gambia Navy and GPA have been searching for Amadou Keita since he went missing.

Our sources further hinted that many people believed that Amadou Keita got drowned in the sea while trying to move from the One Mr Hasib Masry, the proprietor of Castle Fuel Company, is said to be the owner of both vessels.

Sources also to hinted this reporter that Amadou Keita was the Chief Engineer of the Toufik Masry Vessel, and that he had been working with the Masry Vessel Company for over 12 years.

Others who spoke to the Daily Observer also said that these vessels were specialised in importing fuel for the Castle Fuel Company in The Gambia. However, at the time of going to press, the Daily Observer tried to contact Captain Seithu (C2), the captain for one of the vessels, to comment on the circumstances surrounding the drowning of the Senegalese  Engineer, but to no avail.
