The Gambian leader, Professor Alhaji Dr Yahya  Jammeh, yesterday afternoon received in audience Mr Dairou Diallo, the general manager of Batigroup Company limited, at his office at State House.

Mr Diallo, a Senegalese investor whose company deals in construction, was accompanied to State House by top officials of his company. Speaking to reporters shorty after his audience with President Jammeh, the Batigroup boss disclosed plans by his company to invest in the country "very soon." But he maintained that the type of investment will be known later.

According to Mr Diallo, his company has seen the need for investing in the country. He spoke at length about the Gambian leader's commitment to national development, saying "The Gambia is blessed with a hard working and devoted president who has a great vision for his country."  These qualities in the Gambian leader, coupled with the unique investment climate, according to Diallo, prompted him and his group to come and explore the investment qualities in the country.
