SESDO qualifiers get underway

The Serekunda East Sports Development Organisation Nawettan qualifiers got underway on Wednesday with Shop Bi beating Promise Land 2-0 at the community’s playing ground.Sulayman Janneh scored the first goal of the match in the 13th minute while Abdoulie Ceesay scored the second in the 74th minute.


Gamtel beat Biko in FA Cup

Also at the Serekunda East Mini-Stadium on Wednesday, Gamtel made sure of their passage into the next round of the domestic FA Cup with a 3-2 post-match penalty win over Steve Biko.


Gamtel striker Ali Sowe missed two penalties during regulation time of the game dominated by Biko. Sulay Sanyang missed a chance for Biko in the opening exchanges moments before Sowe missed his first spot kick for the Telecommunication boys in the first half.
