receiving the podium, Mustapha Mbaye, operation manager, RVTH, on behalf of the
management of RVTH thanked Sheikh Tijan Secka for the donation. “I have been in
the health sector long time but I have never seen such,” he said. Mabye

him as a young Gambian who is
energetic and doing a brilliant job for important sectors like the health and
particularly for the RVTH. The intervention, he added, has been very timely. He
encourages the donor to keep up the good job, noting that the donation is not
only for RVTH but the entire nation. Fatou Nyabally, chairperson, Donation
Committee at RVTH, explained that the podium will help during the occasions
they hold at the hospital like blood donation, debates and swearing-in
ceremonies of doctors. “We are happy that you thought of RVTH and made
something like a podium; this is a job well done,” she remarked. Sheikh Tijan Secka, the donor, noted that the donation is a message to all Gambians to put hands on deck to donate RVTH and other health facilities in the country. “Carpenters and other skill workers can all contribute to the nation. I was born at RVTH and got treated at RVTH many times like many people,” he stated. According to Secka, RVTH is everybody’s while calling on other skill workers to emulate his move and to help RVTH to improve to standard. Author: Omar Wally | Media Actions See Also |
