SK East nawettan qualifiers start todayTuesday, July 07, 2009 The qualifying series for the Serrekunda East nawettan will commence today (Tuesday), under the watchful eyes of the newly elected Mustapha Kebbeh-led committee. Forty teams will enter the battle to fill only four spots available for grab in the nawettan proper. Alagie Nyassi, the secretary general of the Serrekunda East Sports Committee, said two different venues (Buffer Zone and Charles Jow School ground) have been identified for the preliminary round competition, hinting that this is meant to fast-track the competition so that the proper nawettan can start on time. In today's opening matches, Bradford will take on United Reds at Charles Jow School, while Hertha Berlin face Canon at Buffer Zone. BJ Academy will take on Touray FC in the day's other fixture, while Shining Stars and Stockholm will also be in action today. Matches continue tomorrow. Author: by Ndey Busso | Media Actions |
