Soma market vendors commend President Jammeh

Women Vendors at Jarra Soma Market in the Lower River Region have commended the Gambian leader, His Excellency Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr Yahya Jammeh for transforming the country into a modern state.

The women, who were speaking to the Daily Observer LRR correspondent Monday further expressed gratitude to the Gambian leader for the establishment of the new market in Jarra Soma, which they acknowledged has been of immense benefit to them.

Natou Saidy-Ba, the president of the women vendors association thanked the Gambian leader for the love and care he has for the womenfolk. According to her, since President Jammeh came to power more than a decade ago, The Gambia has witnessed spectacular development. "He is here to salvage every Gambian," she declared, stressing that the Gambia of today and yesterday are quite different, which can be attested to by all.

She called on everyone to rally behind the president for more development while emphasising that all hands should be on deck to ensure that the dreams of the leadership are achieved. Satou Ceesay, another vendor, hailed the Gambian leader for his exemplary leadership qualities, adding that he has lifed the country to a higher height. She added that the president has improved the living standard of every citizen and so should be supported.

Musukouto Jobe, another vendor hailed the Gambian leader for his efforts in transforming the country into a modern state. She also prayed for his good health and well-being noting that he is a beacon of hope whose footsteps should be emulated by everyone.
