St. Therese's Upper Basic School, last Friday, held its annual speech and prize giving ceremony at the school's conference hall in Kanifing.

Speaking during the occasion, the principal of the school, Mrs Zono Jammeh, outlined the numerous achievements registered by the school in the recent years. According to her, the school had registered 578 students for last GABEC examination and out of that 16 students came out with distinction.

Principal Jammeh informed the gathering of the high level of discipline in her school. Madam Jammeh also spoke of plans to build a new senior secondary school so as to cut down on the number of children travelling to Banjul.
