Step of Faith Mission holds mega New Year Mass

Africa » Gambia
Monday, January 09, 2012
The Step of Faith Mission, recently organised a mega night mass in observance of the New Year, at its Church premises along Sayerr Jobe Avenue in Serrekunda. The ‘Indoor Night Crusade’ which was well attended, enabled the fellowship to pray for the leadership and people of the country, as well as seek God’s guidance and bountiful blessing in 2012. The mass, with the theme, ‘Double Victory’  is designed to offer prayers for all sectors of development in the country.

In an interview with the Daily Observer, Reverend Christian Chime, the general overseer of the Step of Faith Mission in The Gambia, explained that the night enabled them to pray for people in various disciplines; be it business, politics, as well as those looking for jobs, among others. He expressed hope that God the Almighty will answer their prayers.

Rev. Chimee used the opportunity to wish all Gambians and non-Gambians a happy New Year, stressing that people should be prepared as 2012 is a challenging year. “We have to prepare and face our God, because it is only God that will see us through. There is no other man who has the ability to do everything apart from God,” he remarked, while reiterating that people have to face their God be it Muslims or Christians.

He further expressed delight at the turnout of the people to seek God’s wisdom and guidance. He then commended the leadership of the country for providing the enabling environment for both citizens and non-Gambians alike and  finally prayed for God’s guidance and blessings in 2012.
