One Muhammad Alhasana Kebbeh was on Tuesday arraigned before magistrate Kayode Olabujutu of the Kanifing Magistrates Court, charged with the offence of  defiling an under-age girl.

He pleaded not guilty to the charge as stated in the particulars, which revealed that the accused some time in the Month of November 2009, at Kanifing South, unlawfully had carnal knowledge with a girl (name withheld) under the age of 18, and thereby committed an offence. The prosecutor applied for the matter to be heard in the chambers.
