Sunshine Insurance Company opens new branch in BansangTuesday, October 20, 2009 The Sunshine Insurance Company, on Wednesday, October 14 inaugurated a new branch at Bansang in the Upper Fulladu Distict, CRR south. The Sunshine Insurance is a member of the Insurance Association The Gambia (IAG), the national Brown Card Bureau and the ECOWAS Brown Card, covering the 14-member state of ECOWAS. In his inaugural speech, the managing director of the company, Almamy B Jobarteh, said his company is a new company signed under the Business Act of 1973 incorporated under the Companies Act, 1953 and licensed to operate in The Gambia. The Marketing manager, Kebba F. Singhateh, said the aims and objective of the company is to provide their customers with excellent and efficient quality insurance services. He further noted that their mission statement is to care and protect the interest of their customers by effectively issuing quality insurance. Singhateh revealed that the Bansang branch is the third branch his company has in the country. The Alkalo of Bansang, Alhaji Kebba Korra, said the importance of the branch cannot be over emphasized, adding that it will prevent the people in the area from travelling long distance for insurance purposes.
