T-Boy shines in Lierse win

Africa » Gambia
Thursday, August 06, 2009
Gambian defender Abdou Jammeh played 90 minutes as SK Lierse won their traditional preseason local derby with Lyra.

The Gambian international played the entire game at the heart of the defence for the Belgian Second Division outfit. T-Boy, as he is best known in the Gambia, was a rock at the defence and he contributed immensely to the 3-1 victory in the local derby.

Goals from Wahed, Nedzipi and Radzinski were enough for Lierse to earn the victory as they continue to prepare for the 2009/10 Belgian Second Division season that starts in a couple of weeks time.

The versatile Jammeh who is comfortable on either side of the defence has played in central defence and at right back for Lierse during their preseason matches.
