The Taiwanese ambassador to The Gambia Monday presented a cash amount of D10, 000 to the National Wrestling Championship Organising Committee as part of their contribution towards the forthcoming National Wrestling Championship.

Receiving the money on behalf of the Committee, Abdul Aziz Titao Mendy, development officer National Sports Council thanked the Taiwanese Embassy for their contribution.

He told the gathering that all the regions in the country will participate in the event where they would select a national team to represent the countryin local and international competitions. He also explained that the National Championship flag is named afterPresident Jammeh, the sponsor of all the regional wrestling competitions.
