Tallinding hold serial champions

GFA First Division League returnees Tallinding United yesterday held champions Wallidan to a point in a hard-fought 0-0 draw at the Independence Stadium in the week two fixtures of the Gambia's premier league.

Wallidan arguably had the better of the game overall but could not find a way past the depleted but resolute back line of the Tallinding United side whose coach, Alagie Nyassi, did not hide his delight in collecting their first point of the season againts one of the most successful clubs in the country.

The result means Wallidan have collected only two points from possible six points, though the Banjul club are used to enduring a poor start before capping a good finish in the league. In the day's other match at the Serrekunda East mini-stadium, Sea View and Brikama United, both winners in the opening matches, settled for a 1-1 draw .
