Theatre group launches movie cassette

A young theatre group in The Gambia, Great Men of the State Theatre, last week launched their first movie cassette entitled," No man can cheat God", at a ceremony held at  conference hall of the Girls Guide Skills Centre along MDI Road.

The  occasion drew participants from different theatre groups and other related traditional cultural associations in the country as well as representative from the National Centre for Arts and Culture (NCAC), The Gambia Association of Theatre (GAMAT) among others. The launching featured an extensive display of creative artistic talents in the world of movie industry. Actors and actresses of the Great Men of the State Theatre, took the centrestage and entertained the audience with their creative artistic display mainly from the content of the newly launched movie casset.

David Thoronka, play writer of the movie cassette, gave a brief historic overview of the cassette and defended  its title as true that no man can cheat God. Terrick Bright, secretary general of the movie group, narrated the detailed annual report of the group, saying the young movie group has registered success in many areas of their endeavour.
