‘Thief’ granted bail

Principal Magistrate Foster of the Bundung Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday granted bail to one Musa Jallow in the sum of D4, 000 for the offence of theft contrary to Section 252 of the Criminal Code, Laws of The Gambia.


The particulars of offence revealed that o the 25th March 2012 at Bakoteh Tippa Garage in the Kanifing Municipality, the accused stole a hand bag containing a mobile phone marked Nokia valued at D800, cash amounting D675, one Gambian national identity card bearing the name of Fatou Bah and a small bottle of eye drop, all being the property of the said Fatou Bah, thereby committed an offence.


When the charge was read to the accused, he pleaded not guilty and was granted bail accordingly with one Gambian surety. The case was adjourned for hearing.
