One Mahammed Ndow, on Tuesday, appeared before Magistrate Surahata Danso of the Bundung Magistrates Court, charged with theft.

According to the particulars of offence, sometime in the month of September 2009 in Wellingara, Kombo North, the accused stole a mobile phone valued at D6,000 from one Ebrima Fatty.

When the charge was read to him, he pleaded guilty, Corporal Sambou, who is handling the case told the court that the accused was given police bail, but could not fulfill it. The magistrate ordered for the accused to be remanded at Mile Two.

The case was adjourned to the 1st of October 2009.
