All roads will lead to Paradise Suites Hotel in Senegambia  Saturday 5th May 2012, for the much anticipated album launch party of Jalex, one of The Gambia’s rising sensations. Widely known by his music sobriquet Akuntu, his masterpiece CD is currently out in the market.


Superbly crafted at Studio Blue in the Senegalese city of Dakar, the forthcoming masterpiece CD entitled ‘Roukouch’ no doubt is widely regarded to be another thriller. It features some of Senegambia’s music greats in the likes of Thione Ballago Seck, Titi, Pap Njie Thiopet among a host of others. As planned, the grand album launch party will attract scores of Gambian artists.


Born Malang Touray, this latest move represents the afromanding star’s third album in a row and comprises of 10-track sound. Like his past two albums namely ‘Soma Alfa’ and ‘Bandinya’, the coming masterpiece will no doubt be another thriller compared to the previous ones. The album is widely regarded by music enthusiasts as another impetus in his bid to push his career internationally. Jalex, who burst into the scene in 1997, still remains a promising Gambian star and the move is another manifestation of his unending versatility.


The star over the years has successfully embarked on international tours in a bid to promote his music as well as reach out to his fans in other parts of the world. This tour took him to countries like the UK, Spain and Sweden, where he staged cloudburst stage performances. Some of the top Gambian artists expected to grace this much anticipated album launch party include Gambian king of kora-Jaliba Kuyateh, Tatadinding, Mandingmorry, Broke, Balla Ranks, T Smallz, Badibunka, Nova, and many more. So make it a date and don’t miss it.
