Tony Carvalho is new GGC boss - replaces Alieu Mboge

Tony Carvalho confirmed to the Daily Observer yesterday of his appointment as the new managing director of The Gambia Groundnut Cooperation (GGC). 
 
Carvalho until his new appointment was the deputy managing director of the GGC.  According to him, he received his letter of appointment on Wednesday February 24 2010. He replaces Alieu Mboge. In a brief chat with this reporter, Carvalho described his appointment as head of the GGC as a continuation of the work he has been doing.
 
In a similar development, Mustapha Colley, the general manager of the GGC has now been elevated to the position of the deputy managing director.  Also speaking briefly about his removal to this reporter, Mboge said: "I have accepted it in good faith." 
 
He added: "Tony Carvalho is a right choice as he knows the GGC." He then commended President Jammeh for the opportunity given to him to serve.
