Toubabo scores in Mons win

Friday, August 07, 2009
Mustapha Toubabo Jarju scored as his Belgian Second Division side RAEC Mons routed 4-1 over local side Union Centre in a pre-season friendly on Wednesday night.

Toubabo scored for the Dragons to give them a 2-0 lead after Senegalese striker Gueye had earlier on gave them the lead as they continue to prepare for life in the second tier of Belgian football. Gueye gave the Bergen outfit the lead before the Gambian international doubled the advantage and substitute Oris made it 3-0 with only a quarter of an hour remaining.

Even though Union Centre pulled a goal back through Pinelli, it proved to be a mere consolation as substitute Diane completed the rout for Mons moments later.
