U-17: Gambia date Senegal friendly

The Gambia Under 17 team will take on their Senegal counterparts in a warm-up match fixed for Saturday, July 25 at the Independence Stadium, Seedy Kinteh president of the Gambia Football Association has told Observer Sports.

The friendly match, which will the Baby Scorpions' first competitive friendly match since winning the African Under 17 Championship trophy in Algeria in March, will be part of the activities marking the July 22 Revolution.

The Banjul fixture, according to GFA president, will also help the African champions in their preparation for the FIFA Under 17 World Cup finals to be stage in Nigeria in October 2009. After the July 25 match, the Gambian team will also travel to Dakar for a return leg fixture scheduled for August 25.
