Unique FM radio station, located on Garba Jahumpa road, Bakau,  broadcasting on 101.7 FM, can now be heard by its audience on the website: www.unique fm.gm.

This development was revealed to the press last Saturday afternoon at the launch of the radio station's website at a ceremony held at the offices of Unique FM. This move came following a collaborative work between Mustapha Kah, a Gambian based in the USA runing a computer technology company called Kah computer company and Fanding Njie, Website manager of Unique FM radio station as well as the management of the Unique FM.

This makes Unique FM, the first radio station to go online. Alhagie Lamin Manga, proprietor and manager of Unique FM radio expressed hope that other Gambians in both the diaspora and home, will log in to the website and listen to their programmes. He hailed the efforts of Mr Kah and Njie, as inspiring and unique.

According to him, prior to launching this website for the radio station, Mr Njie has earlier on  launched a website in the USA on Islam as  part of efforts to promote the spirit of Islam throughout the world. "Curently, the website attracts lots of readers throughout the world" he said. For his part, Mustapha Kah, expressed delight in associating with the project at the Unique FM radio. He spoke at length about his computer company in the USA and his desire to contribute his quota towards development.

Fanding Njie, website manager at Unique FM, assured of his desire towards the successful implementation of the project. He spoke on the need for exposure on what the radio station is doing and for others to come on board to support the radio. Mo Hawk, brother to Mustapha Kah, gave a brief backgroung of the website project.
