Upper Baddibou chief passes awayThursday, August 13, 2009 Foday Sarr Jammeh, the chief of Upper Badibou has passed away last Saturday, August 8, 2009 at his home in Illiassa. The late Chief Sarr Jammeh, was appointed on 17th April 2008. He replaced Alhagie Sambujang Jagne of Farrafenni. Alhagie Edwarr Seckan, the governor of North Bank Region described late chief Jammeh as a true muslim who cared for every fellow human being. "He was dedicated and hardworking. He was a man who always love to see the progress of the Islamic religion both in national and international levels" he said. According to Governor Seckan, the late chief Jammeh ever had a good working relation with people and has been contributing a lot in bringing peace and stability in the district. "He was also a strong supporter of the APRC and the leadership" Governor Seckan attested.
