US artist set for mega concert on Saturday

A renowned artist from the United States of America Tuesday arrived in The Gambia ahead of whatis believed to be a spectacular concert at the Independence Stadium in Bakau on Saturday.


The star -Epiphanywas accompanied by a music producer -Pherociousand are in the country courtesy of the of the US Embassy in Banjul. During their stay, they are expected to engage in a series of events as part of activities in observance of America’s Independence Day. The two visiting US stars are also expected to witness the launching of Africell’s new website www.africell.gm.'


Welcoming the artistes to the Smiling Coast of Africa, Peter Brima of Africell expressed their sincere excitement in launching the website with Epiphany with the whole Gambian population for free.


Epiphany stated that he was very happy to be in the Gambian andexpress his willingness to work with different artistes in the country. “I believe I am a positive and progressive person that is why I write my music from my own perspective,” he said. He also hinted that they will compose a song with the Gambian musicians before the end of their visit.


The chief executive officer of Blacklynx (CEO) Abdul Karim WaaganFye for his part state that that they would ensure the programme is a success as far as entertainment is concerned.


Some of Gambian stars present at the press conference were Gee, Tam 50, Daddy Boston, Bro K, Mighty Joe, T Smallz, the Humanity Band (Sandeng&Aleen¬¬ ) and many more.
