Vibes Radikal busy on debut album

Africa » Gambia
Saturday, August 29, 2009
The Gambia's Sweden based reggae star, Vibes Radikal aka Icy Spicy, is currently busy on his debut album, which he intends to drop in the market very soon.

Born Lamin Sanyang in February 1982, the star started music at a very tender age. According to the Gambuster website, due to his intelligence during his school days, the star was always on top of his class.

He attended St Augustine's' Junior and Senior Secondary, where he was a classmate of The Gambia's well established reggae star -Rebellion D'Recaller - for three years. He later proceeded to Gambia High School, where he specialised in Arts. In mid-1993, Radikal left Banjul with his little brother to join their father in Sweden. Since then he began to develop keen interest in his Africa heritage as an African and started to write songs.

Over the years, he has performed in various parts of Sweden. He also recorded and collaborated with different artists, before being joined by Edi and Majesty, both inspirational Gambian stars doing well in that part of the world. The star is also planning a trip to the Smiling Coast sometime this year.
