Vision Africa Promotion to organise ‘Queen of Companies’ beauty pageant

Africa » Gambia
Tuesday, May 17, 2011
The Vision Africa Promotion will be organising their 2nd edition of Queen of Companies competition scheduled to take place on 24 June 2011, at the Jerma Beach Hotel. Twenty-one contestants have registered to take part in the upcoming competition. This information was disclosed to journalists last Saturday during a press briefing held at Dunes Hotel in Kololi.

Speaking at the press briefing, William Brown, the chief executive officer of Vision Africa Promotion, informed that the first edition of Queen of Companies was organised last year and that Africell emerged first, Classic Lady took second and Comfort got third position.

According to him, the 2nd edition of the competition is for participants to inform people on how to bring client and to do business with their respective companies. The aim, he added, is to bring the companies together. Brown stated that the contestant should be between the ages of 18 to 26 years.

He disclosed that last year the proceeds from the competition were used to sponsor two students. “We are hoping to bring two Gambian artists, Amie Dibba and Manding Morry,” he said.

Mariatou Sidibeh of Comfort, who emerged third in the last competition, said that last year’s competition has a positive impact on her life, that the competition was full of fun and experience. “It also opens a way for me to interact with other people,” she concluded.
