The Gambia double champions Wallidan FC will take on last season's league runners up, Samger, in the GFA Super Cup final scheduled for Sunday, February 15, at the Brikama mini-stadium.

The traditional final, which normally pits the league champions against the FA Cup winners, will also serve as the curtain-raiser for the new league season, which will commence on February 20. Both Wallidan and Samger have recently withdrawn from the 2009 CAF competitions citing financial constraints.
