Whats On: Gambian stars in US warm up for weekend action

As part of celebration marking the Gambia's 44 independence  anniversary, some Gambian artists currently based in the United States, are gearing up for a grand independence celebration party.

The event which is scheduled to take place on Saturday 21st February 2009, is expected to attract a number of prominent Gambian DJ's based in Seattle, notably DJ Pa Boy and MM  among others.

Organised by the Seattle-Gambian Girls, the independence special, according to Gambian Talents Website, will witness a thrilling stage performances by The Gambia's finest stars; namely, The Gambia's most impressive star of the moment, Singateh aka Freaky Joe; Gabriel Jobe aka Jollof Magnificent; Pa Sedat; Amie Dibba, the stunning female Gambian star from Minnesota, and Chess, the dramatic Gambian cultural singer from Seattle.
