Whats On: Introducing Benjamin - Another hip-hop star in the making

Benjamin a. k. a  Kawsu Ceesay is another sprouting hip-hop star working hard to leave mark in the country's entertainment industry.

Born in Serrekunda, the young star found himself in the center of a hip-hop loving town, from where he began to develop his skills during his young age. According to Gambuster websites, Benjamin spent most of his time watching American music videos and listening to renowned hip hop giants like the slain American hip-hop star, Amaru Shakur also known as 2-PAC among others. Since then, he began to develop and build strong interest in the world Hip-Hop. But it was not until he turned 13 and moved to Brikama in the Western Region, that he was able to realize his potentials.

Working with other artists like Horicane, who happens to be his brother, later gave him great source of inspiration to prove his talents to the world on stage. Since then, the youngster took a giant step towards realizing his dreams as well developing his skills. Credited for his natural talents, Benjamin optimistic to make it to the world of hip-hop and hopefully to carry along the dream of being reckoned as a superstar if given the necessary financial and promotional support.

"I am called by the music and I have no option but to answer, as there is no turning back. Music is I and I am working hard to be a great star not only in the continent but the world at large,' he said. Benjamin is also a recording artist at the Block Entertainment studio located in the Pipeline neighborhood, and is also a featured artists on the Guidance Riddim, which is currently making headways in the country airwaves.
