Willem II, Eindhoven Academy, others boosted

Willem II FC and Eindhoven Academy recently received sporting materials from a dynamic Dutch philanthropist at a ceremony held at the Gambia Football Association Technical Training Centre at the FIFA Goal Project in Yundum.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Yankuba Vermeulen said he has a foundation in Holland that looks at the needs ofGambians to see how best they can help in the areas of education and sports, whichthey have been doing for the past years. “I love The Gambia, it is always my intention to help Gambians particularly the youths,” he added.

On his part, Lamin Suwareh, the manager of Willem II Academy acknowledged that the support will go a long way in boosting the morale of the young talents. In a similar development, Real De Banjul junior team received sports materials from Yankuba Vermeulen at a friendly encounter between them and the male junior team of Willem II at the same FIFA Goal project football ground in Old Yundum.

William Abraham, the president of Real De Banjul and Franky Van De Velde head coach of Real De Banjul Junior team both commended the donor.
