Woman 27 needs urgent help

Alimatou Sarr, 27, native of Berending village in the Lower Niumi, North Bank Region (NBR), is in dire need of an overseas medical treatment.

According to the medical report issued by the Medical Board at the Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital (RVTH) in Banjul, and signed by Dr Tamsir Mbowe, director general Presidential Medical Program and director of Medical and Health Services, indicated that  Medical Board was convened for Alimatou Sarr on 8th of December 2009 adding that Alimatou Sarr complained of lower abdominal pain for over ten years and has never seen her monthly menses.

The release further stated that physical examination conducted on her revealed that she is suffering from abdomen problem and stenosis of the vagina.Therefore, they, without hesitation recommended an overseas treatment for possible vaginoplastia which is not presently available in The Gambia.

Alimatou Sarr, who has been struggling with the disease for so long, passionately appealed to the government, private sector and other individual philanthropists for help in order to arrest the terrible disease distorting her life.
