Woman charged with impersonation, child abductionThursday, June 25, 2009 One Angelic Cherry, a 23-year old, has been charged with impersonating a UN official and abducting a child. The incident is said to have occurred in Bakoteh. The accused is said to have used forceful or fraudulent means to take the child away from her mother - one Madeline Mendy- on the pretext that she would find sponsors for the child, who said to be a one-month old baby. Cherry was this week arraigned before Principal Magistrate Kumba Sillah-Camara of the Bundung Magistrates Court. However, she denied the charges brought against her.The case continues on June 29.
