One Binta Saidy, a twenty-year -old lady and a resident of Sanchaba Sulay Jobe in the Kombo North, recently delivered triplets, 2 male and 1 female at the Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital (RVTH) in Banjul.

Speaking in an interview with Daily Observer shortly after her discharge from the hospital, she said she first visited Sukuta Health Centre, on the 9th of June 2009 and was referred to RVTH where the doctors told her that she was carrying triplets of which she said was a surprise to her.

According to Binta, after her return, she and her kids were very healthy. She said that when the kids were weighted, Hassan was 1.5 kg, Awa and Sainey were both 1.4kg. She said these triplets, each increase weight to 50 per cent since they started breast feeding.

Binta thanked one Adelia from Abway Mission for her personal contribution towards her babies especially in the area of medical support as well as one Jakie Church from UK. The parents of these triplets are appealing for material and financial support in order to sustain these babies.
