One Kadijatou Jallow, was on Tuesday 23rd December 2008, arraigned before the Bundung Magistrates Court presided over by Honourable Master of the High Court Aminata Saho-Ceesay:

She faces charges of committing common assault contrary to the laws of the Gambia. According to the statement of the offense, Kadijatou Jallow, on count one, assaulted one Abdou Karim Kurumah in Tallinding and tored his shirt.  In addition, the particulars of offense also state that Kadijatou Jallow, on the 13 October, 2008 at Talinding, entered into the house of the complainant with a clear intention to intimidate and annoy him.

When the charge sheet was read to accused in English, she pleaded not guilty. The police prosecutor, first class 2857 Bah applied for an adjournment to open his case. The High Court Master, who is sitting on behalf of Kumba Sillah-Camara of the Bundung magistrates Court, then granted her bail in the sum of D5,000 with one Gambian surety. The case was adjourned to 6 th of January 2009 for hearing.
