Women testifies in tie and dye case

Funeh Drammeh, a resident of Dippa Kunda, on Wednesday, gave her evidence as the 2nd prosecution witness in a tie and dye trial involving one Ebrima Njie, before magistrate B.O Jobe of Kanifing magistrate court.

In her evidence in chief, Funeh Drammeh told the court that the accused in the month of June 2009, has stolen 25 pieces of tie and dye and batik valued up to D300, 000. She added that each piece of tie and dye was valued at D450 while the batik was valued at D4000 while the batik was valued at D4000.  She told the court that the accused sold one of the tie and dye pieces at a price of D25.

When asked by the prosecutor whether she knows how the accused spent the money he gains from selling those stolen properties, she told the court that the accused buys cannabis and Alkalo.
