The general public is hereby informed that there will be a general cleaning exercise at the Independent Stadium in Bakau on the 13th February 2010 in preparation for the forthcoming Independence Day celebration. As a result of the above exercise, the stadium will be closed to the general public in the morning from 8pm to 1pm. All youth and sporting organisations are invited to participate in this noble exercise. The general public is also informed that the cleanliness and hygiene of the stadium is the responsibility of all and that indiscriminate disposal of waste in and around the stadium is prohibited. Users of the facilities of the stadium should dispose of their waste at designated places. It is also worthy to note that it is everybody’s business to keep the facilities at the stadium in good shape as it is the only available multi purpose sports structure in the country that can host international competitions. We have our customers from West Africa for an event that is yearly on Technology Live, they chose to come to the Gambia because of its hospitality nature and friendliness of her people. The group comprises people from different West African countries. Author: Daily Observer | Media Actions See Also |
