Georget Jobe, a grade eleven student of the Glory Baptish Senior Secondary School, Bakau, is in dire need of financial assistance to complete her education.

Explaining her condition to the Daily Observer, Georget Jobe, who turns 16- years-old, said both the parents are poor and old.

According to her, she was under the care of her uncle who was the ex-Chief of Defence Staff of the Gambia Armed Forces, Vincent Jatta, since she was six years old.

"He admitted me and two of his children to Glory Baptish and was responsible for paying my school fees, together with his children," she explained.

According to her, it was in 2004 when her uncle was relieved from his job, since then life become too hard for her, especially when schools are about to resume for another academic year.

"My classmates do attend monthly studies, while I could not, due to the lack of financial support that have even led to my removal from the morning session. Presently, as I speak to you, I have no uniforms, school bag and shoes," she explained.

Georget Jobe, is appealing to any individuals, NGO's, CSO's, government, philanthropist, and parastatals to come to her aid so that her dreams to complete her education can be realised.

She can be reached on (220) 4410198, 9833122 or through the school.
