Members of The Gambia Project, a charitable organisation, have donated over D20,000 worth of materials, including sewing machines, stationeries, and woodwork tools to Bakau Upper Basic School in Bakau Newtown.

The group gave D1,800 as school fees.
Samatha Brown, one of the members of the group, elaborated on how they have raised funds in Spain to finance their project. According to her, they bake cake, produce food items, and other materials, to meet the cost.

Ms Brown thanked the Principal and staff of Bakau Upper Basic School for accepting the gesture, before she finally handed over the stock to Mrs Anta Sanneh, Principal of the school.

Matty Bayo-Manneh, Vice-Principal of Bakau Upper Basic School, thanked the donors for the assistance.
