In its continuous quest to live up to its Corporate Social Responsibility, Guaranty Trust Bank (Gambia) Ltd has adopted a House at the SOS Children's Village, Bakoteh. One of the Bank's cardinal Orange Rules is "social responsibility" and living the rules is an enormous commitment to bring social progress and development, a creed GTBank lives by.

By living the rules, GT Bank has again proven that banking is not solely about profit making, but also impacting positively on the lives of its customers and the society where it operates.

Apart from being a commercial bank with first class products and services, the bank is driven by its strong culture of ethics, integrity and high sense of corporate responsibility. In meeting its corporate social responsibility, GTBank adopted a Family House of ten members at the SOS Children's Village, a home for orphan and less privileged children. This mammoth humanitarian gesture would cost GTBank D187,000 ($8,500 US Dollar) yearly for the next three years in which the Bank will pay the running cost of the house, feeding, and clothing as well as the school fees of the eight school going children.

This intervention is in line with the Bank's beliefs and values in creating a better future for the less privileged particularly children. According to GTBank Managing Director Lekan Sanusi, the Bank is proud to be associated with SOS Children's Village on what he calls a life changing partnership. In an upbeat mood, at the naming ceremony held at the Children's Village on the 7th February 2008, Mr Sanusi welcomed the family into the GTBank corporate family and posited that with GTBank a brighter future is guaranteed.

Since its inception in The Gambia in 2002, Guaranty Trust Bank Gambia Limited has strove to excel in everything it does. It has been synonymous with innovation and excellence performance.

This has only been made possible through the combination of the unflinching interest and commitment of a well-trained and dedicated human capital, robust technology and above all the unreserved confidence and patronage by its loyal and esteemed customers.

GTBank continues to strive to be the best financial service provider in its geographical locations, including The Gambia. Through a hard working,well-committed and professional staff, the Bank has grown to a six-branch bank, the seventh branch nearing completion.

This unprecedented expansion was achieved within a short period of six years and of course has enabled easy access for customers to the Bank services. The bank has continued in the past to develop a wide range of products in a bid to meet the ever-increasing demand of the banking industry.

These include Internet Banking. ATM, Smart Kids Save (a saving account for children), GTBank Save Account, Max Advance ( a salary based credit facility), Slip Free Banking to name a few. Despite its distinguished achievements, GTBank continues to be the pacesetter in all facets of banking.

Over the years, GTBank has ploughed back a significant chunk of its profit to The Gambia populace to uplift their living standard, and according to the Managing Director, "there is nothing more noble than giving back to the community that opened its arms and gave so much to the Bank and what better way to say thank you for the confidence and trust!"

Wouldn't you rather Bank with us?
