Congratulation GRTS

Please allow me space in your widely read daily newspaper to express my appreciation to the Gambia Radio and Television Services (GRTS) for the excellent work they are rendering to Gambians and non-Gambians alike.

Additionally, the management of GRTS, under the visionary leadership of Alhagie Momodou Sanyang has led GRTS to experience several improvements over the years.

Since he assumed office as the Managing Director of the national television, the people of this country have experienced an improvement on their programmes .

This is for the fact that, they entertain, teach, and keep people abreast of world events and other popular events of national importance.

One of the successful programmes aired at both the television and the radio are the entire events of the successful African Union Banjul Summit, the recently concluded Kanilai International Roots Festival, live events of the 18th February Independence anniversary, the 22nd July anniversary activities and inauguration of the various projects and power plants, among others.

These are all well followed by every Gambian. Thanks to the staff of the GRTS and their able Managing Director, for a job well-done.

Furthermore, under Mr Sanyang stewardship we have also withnessed several impovements, such as an agreement to feature the premiership match live for the viewers. This will greatly help viewers to be updated with world sports activities.

The Gambians owe a lot to the GRTS. Bravo Alhagie Momodou Sanyang, and the entire staff of the Gambia Radio and Television Services for the brilliant work. Your contributions to national development cannot be over-emphasised.
Keep up the momentum.
