Kuwaiti development partner lauds Jammeh's efforts

Mr Wail Abuljebin, the chairman and managing director of UNETEC, the consultancy company behind all the massive infrastructural development programmes in the Gambia (including the Kombo Coastal Highway, the International Airport and the Northbank and Southbank highways) paid a courtesy call on President Jammeh at State House on Friday.

This is what Mr Wail Abuljebin had to say to reporters after his meeting with His Excellency the President.

"We have been here 14 years, before the July 22 Revolution, and I am very very thrilled by the momentum this country has . this country respects knowledge, respects professionalism, nobody in this government has ever interfered with how we do our job professionally because the President wants a perfect job, that I can assure you, and he will not stop at anything to get a perfect project for the people.

He has no benefit personally. It is the country that benefits from everything that this administration tries to do for its people". Then he continued:

"This is a fact. I wish the President long life because this country needs such a man. And this administration has been extremely helpful, all his ministers and PSs have been extremely helpful to make sure this country prospers.

I tell you, I have been working in Africa since 1989. You have a President that doesn't stop. That is all I can tell you. He will not stop at anything. He will do whatever he can to get the best for your country. I have seen many many heads of states, lots of them are friends of mine, but this man  I consider him a dear friend because he is sincere, that I can tell you".
