Armed Forces emerged the winners of the 10-team Banjul pre-season football tournament organised by the Banjul Sports Committee. Armed Forces beat the league champions, Real de Banjul, 4-3 in a post-match spot kick to land the coveted tittle after a heated full-time stalemate on Saturday.

The pre-season tournament which is dubbed Edar Carr Memorial Pre-season Tournament, has become a traditional football competition in the Capital City with the ultimate aim of preparing the Banjul clubs ahead of a new league season.
