Senegalese President Abdoulaye Wade has assured President Jammeh of his renewed willingness to strengthen and deepen cooperation between Banjul and Dakar.

In a letter acknowledging President Jammeh's congratulatory message on the occasion of the celebration marking the 48th Independence anniversary of the Republic of Senegal on April 4, President Wade prayed for the personal well-being of the Gambian leader, his family and the entire Gambian people.

"For the brotherly people of The Gambia, I fervently wish them an ever increasing prosperity and harmony, peace and solidarity. I wish to seize this opportunity to renew to Your Excellency my firm and consistent availability to work together to consolidate and deepen th e Senegalo-gambian brotherly cooperation," President Wade stated, while assuring his Gambian counterpart of his highest consideration.
