New community market for Kabokorr

The new elected councilor for Sibanor ward, Alhagie Sutay Jarju has recently laid a foundation stone of a new community market at Kabokorr Village in the Foni Bintang Karanai District,  Western Region.

The community market was sponsored by the Disaster Risk Reduction Programme under Saint Joseph Family Farms Center with  support from Concern Universal.

Speaking at the ceremony, Yankuba Manneh the micro-enterprice development manager and the projects coordinator of Saint Josep's Family Farms  said the community market is meant to up lift the livelihood of the people of that ward.He urged the beneficiaries to participate fully in the construction of the market.

For his part,Manfred Bojang,the Desk Officer for emergengy prepardness prevention and response programme of Saint Josep's Family Farms, expounded on the importance of the market on the livelihood of the area and the district at large.

Councilor Sutay Jarju on his part, expressed delight  to the donors  as  this is the first development he has engaged into since his election as a councilor. He therefore called on the beneficieries to be united and work as a farmily

Alhagie Lamin Camara ,a representative of the Chief of the Foni Bintang Karanai District  thanked the donors for their good will gesture vowing that the beneficieries will make the good use of the market. Alieu Beyai, the Alkalo of Kabokorr Village expressed similar sentiments.

The ceremony was attended by Saint Joseph Family Farms Project staff, Bakary Sanneh councilor of Kusamai ward.
