Four Bissau Guineans charged for stealing

Four Guinean youths were, on Monday, arraigned before Magistrate Ayoub John Njie of the Brikama Magistrates Court on two counts of conspiracy to commit felony and stealing, contrary to the criminal laws of The Gambia.

The four accused persons were Bien Venu Jassey, Ebrima Sidibeh, Malang Manneh and Tony Mendy.

According to the particulars of the offence on count one, the  youths on November 1 2007,  at Bonto Village, Kombo East conspired to commit felony.

On Count two, the youths on the same day and at the same place jointly sold three cattle belonging to one Malick Mendy.

When the charge sheet was read to them, the accused persons pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Magistrate Njie adjourned the case to January 21, 2008 for continuation. Police Prosecutor 935 Sambou represented the IGP.
