The Gambia Armed Forces through Brigadier General Lang Tombong Tamba on Tuesday made a donation of ten bed sheets to the Brikama Health Center. The donation was meant to replace the ones used to wrapped the dead bodies of the Kembujeh carnage of Sunday, January, 13, 2008.

Sergeant Bully Bojang, who handed over the bed sheets, said the donation was given on the instructions of Brigadier General Tamba. He expressed feelings of sorrow to the families of the victims of the carnage and prayed to God for their souls to rest in perfect peace.

Speaking at the ceremony, Inspector Lamin King Colley of the Brikama Police Station expounded that all service men are servants of the people. He stated that the incident is indeed a heartbreaking one. He added that the lives that were lost are innocent. He commended Brigadier General Lang Tombong Tamba and the entire Gambia Armed Forces for the gesture.

In receiving the items, Mr Lamin Sanyang, head of the Brikama Health Center thanked GAF through Brigadier General Tamba for the donation. He also expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased for the loss.
