Hamed Touray and Gibriel Ceesay, were on Tuesday, granted bail at the sum of D100,000 after pleading not guilty to the charge of obtaining money by false pretence by Senior Magistrate Buba Jawo of the Bundung Magistrates' Court.

According to the particulars of the offence, on the 2nd of October 2007, at Sukuta village in the Western Region, Hamed Touray and Gibriel Ceesay jointly intended to obtain D10,000 from one Adama Sidibeh by claiming to multiply the amount to D150,000 knowing that such a claim was false.

When the charge sheet was read to them, they pleaded not guilty. However they were granted court bail at the sum of D100,000 with a Gambian surety each. The case was then adjourned to Tuesday, November 27, 2007, for hearing. Corporal 510 Touray stood in for the IGP.
