D80,000 bail bond for accused

One Ebrima Sorry Sowe was on Tuesday, granted court bail at the sum of D80,000 and a Gambian surety after pleading not guilty to the charge of obtaining goods by false pretence, at the Bundung Magistrates' Court presided over by Senior Magistrate Buba Jawo.

According to the particulars of the offence, on September 20th, 2007, at Ebo Town in the Kanifing Municipality, Ebrima Sorry Sowe obtained a motorcycle, valued at D12,000 from one Juldeh Sowe on the pretext that he had somebody to buy the said motorcycle. 
When the charge sheet was read to him, he pleaded not guilty.

Meanwhile the case was adjourned to November 27, 2007 for hearing. Police Prosecutor Sergeant 772 Samateh stood in for the IGP.
