Friday, November 09, 2007

Senior Magistrate Buba Jawo, of the Bundung Magistrates' Court on Tuesday adjourned the ongoing criminal case against Dodou Janneh, who is accused of murdering one Sheriff Minteh, earlier this year. The case which was scheduled to be heard at the Bundung Magistrates' Court could not proceed due to the absence of the defence team, led by Lawyer Sheriff Tambedou.

When the case was called, Police Prosecutor 772 Sergeant Samateh told the court that his witness was present and ready to proceed with the matter.

In response, Dodou Janneh, the accused, told the court that he would prefer the matter to proceed in the presence of his defence counsel. It could be recalled that Dodou Janneh is facing trail for allegedly murdering Sheriff Minteh, aged 20, of London Corner, who passed away on Wednesday May 9, 2007.

The case was adjourned to November 13, 2007 .
